One week Stay in Barceloneta

The twin appartments on the 3rd floor that we rented for 5 persons were ideal for our stay. Located in a quiet street but still at 50 m from the beach, well equipped ( washing machines and drier very convenient).Good air conditionning, effective wifi.
Only sour point : Satelitte TV mostly in German. No cartoons for children in french or english.
Bring your own USB key with movies...

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay at Barcelona Apartments. The location is just amazing, you walk out of the street and the beach is right in the front. The number of eating joints and superstores makes it so much easy for the food. Size of the rooms and bathrooms is small but there is space in common area with sofas where we could open our suitcases. Kitchen again is slightly small but fully function with adequate cutlery and utensils. The caretaker is very cooperative and friendly. All in all, a very comfortable stay.

The 55 Mestranca location in Barceloneta was fabulous.... from the wonderful introduction and reception by Albiol to our new best Barcelona friend Pablo at La Indy Rickshaw BCN, we felt very comfortable. The beach scene, restaurants (Salamanca Silvestre) and weather were perfect in late June. Our flat had everything we needed, and the third floor a/c was excellent!
We will be back :)

My wife and I, accompanied by our 20 year old daughter, stayed in one of the first floor apartments for six nights at the end of June 2017. Cost was 863 inc VAT and cleaning charge.
Communication with the agent / owner was excellent from before booking, and he answered all of my queries. We were able to arrange to hire a two person apartment and pay 90 extra to allow our daughter to use the sofa bed.
Directions to the venue were easy to follow and we were welcomed and shown local places to eat and shop when we arrived.
*** TIP*** Get yourself a five - day pass for the Metro and ride the buses and Metro trains right from the airport for just 33! It\\\'s easy to get about and you can download simple to follow Metro maps onto your phone. The route by Metro train to the apartment involves 3 air conditioned trains, but moving between them with suitcases is simple as there are elevators on every station. Or a taxi will cost about 35 (for one trip, so the Metro pass is much better value).
The location is excellent, with only a 30 metre walk to local shops and one of Barcelona\\\'s marvellous beaches. La Rambla and the city are a ½ hour walk or much shorter bus or Metro ride away. Everything you could possibly need is within easy reach (even tea bags) and the location is perfect for a combination of beach and city. The water is warm and very clear and the sandy beach is cleaned daily. There are many small convenience stores within 3 minutes\\\' walk, or a Spar, indoor fresh market, bank, three bakeries and a small supermarket within 5 minutes\\\' walk. A cheap evening meal will cost you about 10 and a more expensive one (near to the W hotel) will cost you about 20. You\\\'d need to stay for a month in order to try every restaurant and take away with 5 minutes\\\' walk! There are plenty of places locally that will hire out bicycles, electric scooters or motor scooters.
***TIP*** Make sure that you keep a close eye on your belongings! I\\\'m a retired police officer and constantly lecture my family about safety, but my daughter had her bag containing an iPhone 6, purse and some expensive makeup stolen on our last night there. The police were very helpful and even waited in numbers on the street as we tracked the phone, but when I rang it for them the thief switched it off straight away, so an insurance claim has had to be made.
The apartment itself is well equipped with easy to clean stainless steel worktop, oven, two ringed electric halogen hob and extractor, a refrigerator (complete with bottle of cava), flat screen TV (but with only German or Spanish channels) and very good air conditioning. The bedroom is separated from the kitchen / living room by a sliding door and another sliding door leads from the bedroom to the bathroom, a windowless room with WC, washbasin and very powerful shower (with two heads). The bathroom was well stocked with a hair dryer, towels, toilet rolls and hand soap. Entry to the apartment block and to the individual apartments is by electronic code, so there are no keys to worry about. There is a lift big enough for two people or one person plus a big suitcase.
***TIP*** get a room on the top floor, as other guests entering or leaving the building can be noisy! The Barcelona street cleaning also takes place at about 3 in the morning, so the higher up you are the better.
The only criticisms I could make were:
1) The WiFi was very unreliable and kept dropping out, despite the router being in a panel in the ceiling outside the entrance door;
2) There were only two very small pillows supplied, and my wife likes two pillows almost as large as an English county.
I also wish that Germans entering the building drunk and noisily would accede to requests made in German to be a little quieter. That said, the German lady in the apartment below ours actually asked me to tell her if her children were making too much noise, so it\\\'s about individuals not nationalities.
All said and done, I would recommend this accommodation without hesitation.

Great Location

The apartment was exactly as shown. It was perfect for me and my friend. It\\\'s in a great location that is close to the beach, yet also, close to all the places you want to go. The owner even met us well before our check-in time to let us in and walk us through everything. The only complaint that we had was that the Wi-Fi was not good. It cut in and out and had a very low signal strength. Other than that.. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Lovely 3 night stay

We had a lovely few days in Barcelona and in particular our stay was made more pleasurable because we chose to stay in the barcelona beach apartments. The apartment was perfect for us, the location was fantastic, just a stones throw from the beach, the view was lovely. Just a short walk to some lovely, quaint restaurants and tapas bars. We found it easy to get into the city centre from the apartment and it was well equipped. We didn\\\'t do any cooking but there was everything we needed if we wanted to. Albiol was a great host, he was quick to respond to any questions or queries that we had and he recommended some places to eat and visit. We will be returning to Barcelona in the future and intend to stay here again.

The location was excellent very near the beaches and the bars.
The place was clean and just what we wanted with a nice sun terrace which was quiet and ideal for chilling
The shower was fantastic and the kitchen ideal
However the internet was very poor and as I had some business to attend to whilst on holiday this made connection difficult and I could not choose when to do my work, the connection chose when it worked
Also there were not enough quality pillows and so we had to use cushions off the settee
The guy who checked us in was very pleasant and gave us a couple of really good tapas bars to go to, but it would have been nice if he had come back half way through the holiday to check how we were doing and we could have reported our isues

Perfect apartment with perfect location

We spent 6 days in the apartment Thiago at Carrer de la Mestranca. This apartments has a perfect location if you want to og to the beach, or explore the city. It\\\'s just a short way to walk to get the bus or Subway too.
Theese apartments are equipped with an elevator, and thats convenient when you have a heavy suitcase. The other apartments have a narrow staircase.
When you arrive, Albiol welcomes you, and gives you valuable tip for where to eat and what to do in the neighbourhood.
We will highly reccomend theese apartments, and will surely be back.
Thanks for a lovely stay.
